I was at my men’s bible study this morning, and when I opened my bible case and started flipping pages I found an old bookmark that my daughter had made me about fifteen years before. And at 23 years-old she is still keeping her word (and the feelings are mutual). A timeless message found in a timeless book. I miss my daughter every day. She’s off getting her second college degree and we can only see her every couple of months. But the texts and the emails and the private messages and the Skype chats and the phone calls still fly back and forth all the time. Being the father of my two kids (my two best friends) is just about the greatest job I’ve ever had. I thank God every day.
